Sometimes, it feels as though life is just too great and the problems are too many to handle. In those times, we are tempted to despair, to be discouraged, to doubt. In those times, we must remind ourselves:
The Lord, our God, is the Creator of heaven and earth. Through Him all things were made – the heavens above, the earth below – therefore He has control over all things.
The Lord, our God, is a mighty warrior. He has, does, and will continue to fight for His people. (Ex. 15:3, Deut. 20:4)
The Lord, our God, is our strength and a stronghold in times of trouble.
The Lord, our God, is a refuge for the oppressed, the weary, and the heavy-laden. (Ps. 9:9, Matt. 11:28)
The Lord, our God, is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Ps. 33:4) and near to all who call on him (Ps. 145:18)
The Lord, our God, is our help; He is the one who sustains us. (Ps. 54:4)
The Lord, our God, is faithful. He fulfills every promise. (Ps. 145:13)
The Lord, our God, is unfailing love. With him is full redemption. (Ps. 130:7)
The Lord, our God, is our God forever and ever and he will be our guide even to the end. (Ps. 48:14)
There is nothing we face that He can’t handle. He is life. His is salvation. He is power. He is mighty to save. He is peace. He is rest.This is the Lord, our God.
And because He is our help, we can sing in the shadow of His wings.
His Word is life. Make it a Word-Filled Wednesday.

This is beautiful and so powerful! Our God is all we need! When one is in captivity it is hard to sing. But when we really understand that God is our help, we can sing – sing loud – sing joyfully! Thanks for sharing a powerful word today!
